Welcome to another Film Impact video tutorial. I'm Jaap Boerhof. I'm the founder and senior developer of Film Impact's Premium Tools, here to show you three ways on how to use the Film Impact Wipe Impacts. And let's dive in straight away.

I've got two clips here, two beautiful clips, and we're going to apply the Wipe Impacts. So let's dive into the effects library, type in Wipe Impacts and there you go, Wipe Impacts. Just drag, drop, see what it does out of the box. And there, that's a beautiful video transition. It's got blur, it's a nice wipe and let's give this transition a little bit more time to breathe and there you go.

So this is the Wipe Impacts video transition straight out of the box. And the good thing is when you select the video transition and dive into the effects controls tab, you'll find all the parameter controls here. One of them is the angle control, so set it at a nice angle.

See, I like the sky, it's got this beautiful warm orange glow to it and let's have that introduced first and increase the feather amount. And this is actually the range from which the wipe is happening. So increase it and crank it up, and now you've got a beautiful video transition. And as you can see, we've got loads of blur applied to both the in- and outgoing clips. And we could select an outgoing clip only, and that will make sure the focus is being pulled away from the outgoing clip. So it's applied to this girl here and we can play with the amount of blur.

So make it a little bit subtle and that's good. And let's play with the colors as well, because we can add color to this video transition. And here I'm going to have the color picker here and just take the eyedropper and sample a nice orange color here. Oh, that's a little bit too much there. But don't worry, we can slow it down. So this is beautiful. This is actually introducing the orangeness earlier on in the video transition.

So this is working very well here. So there you go. It might be too much there, so play with that, make it subtle. But it will add to the video transition. Now, another thing that you can keep in mind is we've got the sun here. And this is a beautiful sunset, but know that brightness in your frame generally attracts the attention of the viewer, and while this is an outgoing clip you could play with the moment that the sun will disappear behind this girl's head.

So here, let me show you that here, because you'll see that the movement, the camera movement will eventually may turn to the sun behind her head and now the video transitions. Because I've been playing with the timing, so I've just moved the video transition here. But you can also use the slip tool. Why? Just to change where the video begins and ends. But now, just at the moment the wipe comes to the sun, it has disappeared behind her head. And this is again aiding, it's helping the transition move to the next scene. And now we've got a beautiful video transition. It feels very natural, it feels elegant, it's dreamy. It's just the way you want it, right? So, let's move on to the second example of the Wipe Impacts. We have two clips here. So, crane birds. And again, we're going to do drag, drop the video transition, see what it does. Let's give it more time to breathe.

And I'm going to zoom in, sorry you couldn't see that, it was behind the video. That's beautiful. And now, as you can see, both clips here are very similar. We've got birds, we've got similar colors, and so the look and feel is kind of the same, even though one clip is a little bit more close and this is more of a long shot. But I find the blurriness a little bit distracting here because the clips are so similar. So now, dive into the effects controls tab, and just have the blur amount removed all the way to zero. And now you can see this is very playful. And again, increase the feather amount and see how you like that. And now you can see this white area is just getting pumped up a little bit because the exposure amount is being set at 25 percent by default. If we lowered that all the way to zero, we kind of get this dull feeling right during the wipe. And I would say avoid that. Play with the color, give it a little bit more of a brighter area. This might be too much, so again, be subtle with this. But just a little bit, we'll crank it up just enough so you would lose the dullness. And maybe even warm it up, so take a warm color.

So this is reddish. Again, you can take the eyedropper here. So that's beautiful, the eyedropper. It might be too much again, so just be subtle. And this is beautiful. So play with how this works on your footage. And this color might work for one footage and doesn't work for another footage.

So always look and see how that feels. Now another cool thing that I want to show you with the Wipe Impacts is that we have a Bezier curve. But let's change the Bezier curve to split. And a split will actually create a pause right in the middle of this transition. And to show you this, let's decrease

..hey what's going on guys jake here with visuals and today we are gonna be breaking down seven transitions in Alight Motion

i'm really excited about this video because we are not gonna be using any third-party plugins and all of these transitions can be made with the effects that are built into premiere pro before we begin i just want to say thanks to everybody who has liked commented and subscribed to the channel this community is growing full of wonderful creative people and those of you who have visited my website and downloaded my packs thank you guys so much for the support so the first music video transition we're going to be breaking down today is masking masking is where something goes across the frame and reveals the clip underneath so you can see right there how in this clip the fence goes across the screen and then it reveals the clip underneath here's another example right here of this artist stephonix walking out of a gas station and obviously you can see that pull comes across the screen and then it reveals him all of a sudden getting into his car this first clip is on top of this second clip and then what i did is i just keyframed a mask using the opacity all we're gonna do is start with this square and we're gonna click on this square on the clip above the bottom clip the second clip and we're gonna drag these points to the left here and we're gonna drag these two on the right over to the right side and then

we're gonna make a keyframe here on the mask path at this point that's gonna create a little point here in our timeline that says we want our mask to be that shape at this point in time so now let's scroll to the right until we get the end of this poll right here right so this is the actual clip with no mask you can see he comes out on the other side of that pole so we want the next clip to start to reveal itself right here so let's go to the very last part where this pole is on the frame so right about there finishes crossing the entire frame.

we're going to click back on this mask we're going to zoom out a little bit here from this fit to maybe 50 and we're going to shift click on both these points on the right and drag these points over to the very end you can see it it follows the pull depending on what slides across your screen you might have to do some more keyframes here in the middle and tweaking these points around but for this shot this pull moves at a steady rate across the screen so obviously the frames worked out quite nicely we don't have to do very much keyframing for this effect to work the only other part of this effect is just having your second clip underneath

so if i remove this second clip you can see now we're just getting that black space so that's the empty spot for your next clip right so we'll just drag that next clip back underneath and there it is it reveals itself underneath of the clip the next transition.

we're going to be looking at today is this freeze frame slide effect so check this out [Music] it's a cut out of him and it slides from the left to the right into the next clip so let's just delete the transition for now and we're going to go ahead and start right here at the cut right where the next clip starts so he's in this kind of like hose right here at the beginning of this next clip and all we're gonna do is take a screenshot using this export frame button right down here.

we're gonna make sure it imports into our project hit okay it's gonna be over here in your project panel i'm just gonna click and drag that screenshot in and i'm gonna cut the excess off of the tail end of that so let's go one two three four five six six frames is perfect now what i'm gonna do is take this pen tool under opacity and we're gonna just trace the outline kind of around his stance using the pen tool if you want you can zoom in on whatever it is or whoever it is that you're cutting out using this zoom tool so we can zoom in a little bit there we can go way farther in maybe to like 400 and we can get right on top of like his outline if we want to and you can notice when i click and drag we can get those kind of like more curvy points coming out there so play around with the pen tool get familiar with it so now i'm just going to hit v on my keyboard to switch back to my pointer and click off the mask now we got him cut out and he's above the first clip here on the left his screenshot just kind of pops in there and then boom into the next clip so now what i'm going to do with this cut out is right click on it and hit nest and i'm going to hit ok now just click and drag a transform effect onto that nested sequence and we're going to keyframe the position.

so we're going to make a point here on the position drag it to the right and then move our position somewhere over to the left so he slides into the frame just like that might adjust these keyframes so that we got the full length of the transition we can keyframe the shutter angle so it starts really blurry

so these transitions are really customizable and i think they work really great for music videos all of these transitions are going to look different depending on your footage and how you use them creatively so have fun be creative and click around inside the program and experiment with the different effects within alight pro if you're a creative person who loves watching tutorials and enhancing their visuals definitely consider hitting the subscribe button down below going to be dropping a lot of new tutorials on this channel as well as a lot more visual assets on my online store venturevisuals.com and i'd love for you guys to stay on the journey with me this is going to be a great year and i'm excited to see what we all create thanks so much for tuning in to this video until next time i'm jake fenner peace out

Introduction:

Everyone wants good-looking visually pleasing videos and one of the first steps to achieve this is by color correcting, your video now in orbital color corrector video you have to understand the color workspace, in Alight Motion and if you're ready for that next step and maybe this is your first time here hi and my name is Lila so lovely to meet you and on this channel I share my best filmmaking tips, and tricks video editing tutorials and basically everything you need to know in order to start creating better videos all of the links are in the description.

Color Correction:

so make sure that you check that out including my color correction vs. color grading video because it is of vital importance and when I say phyto importance I mean vital importance to understand a difference between color correction and color grading if you're ready let's open up the color workspace on the left you see some intimidating complicated graphs but trust me they are not really that complicated and on the right you see different tabs such as basic correction.

first as you can see this circle is this beautiful gradient of all the colors on the spectrum and then there is this white mass or blob or thing I am not sure what it's called to be honest this white mass or a white blob represents the amount of color in the video as well as what colors are in the video if I up the saturation and make the video more colorful make the colors.

Effects:

what happens to the waveform as I adjust the exposure of the contrast and all the others I think exposure and contrast speak for themselves now these four the highlights the shadows and whites and the black they all work together and they affect each other so for example if we change the whites it will also affect the highlights too but only in the waveform the slider won't be affected 100 represents the whites and right here is the highlights the shadows and the blacks in case you have a lot of clipping going on you can raise the blacks a little or you can lower the whites a little bit but as you can see if I've raised the blacks it removes the blacks from the video

Frame:

so I am going to keep it at zero in this case instead I'm going to adjust the shadows a little bit and remove a little bit of the contrast we know that the waveform represents the exposure and all the tone settings of the frame so see what happens if I play through the clip as you can see right here this is gizmos face so it literally represents the frame of your video if at any point you're just like oh my god I just need to start over it it looks like a mess I was too ambitious I was too enthusiastic with it don't worry you don't need to double click on every slider what you can do is just click on the reset button right here and you will reset all of the tone settings now this is the fun part if you go up here to this check mark and you uncheck this box see what happens

Conclusion:

this is where we started I mean I love this so much I could literally check and uncheck the box all day this is so so freakin satisfying, if you liked this video please let me know in the comments and make sure to subscribe and hit that notification bow, in case you want to be notified when more videos come out and if you can't wait for the next video which is totally fine and understandable, because you just want your videos to be so much better click on this video

Kaththi Mass ⚡💥 edits Project Files Download

December 18, 2022 0

Hello, welcome to this new tutorial dedicated to  Alight Motion , one of the best video editors you can use to make professional videos by combining media files and adding effects, transitions, adjustments and great pieces of text. It is part of the Creative Cloud bundle for both Windows and MacOS under a subscription plan. As you open Alight Motion  its Home Screen shows up with the list of your latest projects made.

On the left side click on Open Project to browse for others you have or go to New Project to start from a new one. At this point the Import page opens, where you can set the project name and its location on top and select the first media files to import on it. Click on Create to switch to the main Edit interface, as you can see from the top left corner. This is the place where you build your video with the timeline at the bottom and the several panels that change depending on the workspace chosen from the top right corner. In this video we will stick with the default Editing workspace, but you can always retrieve any panel from the Window tab. Any Alight Motion  project collects several independent pieces of videos called Sequences. In this video we will work with a single one for simplicity. Make sure to set the correct video and audio options from Sequence, Sequence Settings... Pick the right template from Editing Mode or select Custom to set the options on your own including frame rate, frame size, pixel aspect ratio, sample rate and much more.

To import other media files just drag and drop these inside the sequence or switch to the Import page to select these and import them from the Project panel on the left. All these files are collected within the timeline as blocks called clips. Videos and images inside Video Tracks (with V letter) in blue and pink color respectively. Sound files inside Audio Tracks (with an A letter) in green color, complete with their sound waveforms, such as one per stereo channel. To check your timeline content use your mouse wheel to scroll in time and hold down the ALT (or the Option) key to zoom in and out around your cursor.

The Program panel above shows your sequence content where the blue playhead is placed. Click once on the timeline to check different frames or drag it to show frames sequentially. Whereas use the player to playback in real time, adjusting quality with Playback Resolution in case this results laggy. Now let's see how to edit clips with the Selection Tool on the left. Click on any clip to select it. Drag it to move it in time or in another track. Video frames and audio are linked together by default - to make these independent just right-click on these and go to Unlink. In case clips overlap in time the Program panel above shows the clip on the top video track in front of all other clips lower in position. To adjust the duration of any clip just drag its edges. This cuts content from video and audio files unless you enable the Rate Stretch Tool (or R key). With this tool you extend or shorten any clip freely by changing its speed rate instead of its content.

                     SCENE PACK

So extended clips will be played slower with a rate lower than 100% and shorter clips will become faster with a rate more than 100%. To split any clip enable the Razor Tool (or C key) and click on it! You can cut, copy and paste any selected clip by right-clicking on it. Go to Clear to remove the clip definitely. Use CTRL (or CMD) and Z to undo. You can also open the History panel to manage all your actions made. On the left side you have several buttons to manage each track.

With the eye button you can hide and show the track content; with the Mute (or M) button you can mute any audio track and use the Solo (or S) button to play the current audio track solo by muting all the others. You can also click on the Record button to record from your microphone. From Edit, Preferences, Audio Hardware... set the input source to use and then click on the Record button to start recording on such track. With the lock button you can prevent any modification on the current track so that you can't move or edit any of its clips inside.

With the Mix track at the bottom you can tune the master volume such as the audio level coming from the entire sequence. This is very useful in case the Audio Meter on the right shows red levels of distortion. To add or remove any track just right-click on any empty space on the left. To adjust the clip content you can open the Effect Controls panel on the left. This lists all the properties for the clip selected, depending on its kind. Images and video frames show Motion to set position, scale and inclination as well as Opacity to set any transparency level. In particular you can uncheck Uniform Scale to correct the aspect ratio of the clip and remove its black bars if you have them. On audio clips you can adjust volume level and channel panning between the left and the stereo channel. Click on the fx button to hide or show your changes and use the Revert button on the rig
