So you want to add camera shake to your next video, I'm gonna show you how to do it right within Alight Motion in this new Alight Motion tutorial.

I'm going to show you two different styles, of camera shake one is more of this earthquake sort of dramatic effect and the other is more of a handheld look, and I'm going to show you two ways to do that one so first with this more earthquake stylized effect this is created by an adjustment layer and the transform effect.

So I've got this basketball clip right here and if I drag this on to my timeline it's a pretty smooth shot nothing's really happening and I've added the camera shake,  whenever the basketball hits the ground so first things first I want to create an adjustment layer and add that to track two so click new item and choose adjustment layer select okay and then just put it on top of your video track.

now I'm gonna zoom in here and you want to zoom in and have the adjustment layer, start right when the ball is hitting the ground and then maybe go for another seven or eight frames half a second or so and then, I'm just going to trim the end of this adjustment layer now adjustment layers, apply whatever effect is applied to that layer to everything beneath it and the reason we use adjustment layers is so that we can easily duplicate this camera shake effect to any clip or throughout this same clip go to your effects bin and type in transform, it should be under your distort properties and place that on the adjustment layer and the effects controls bin will now edit this effect notice though one thing is that you can't apply this sort of movement and rotation effect.

we're going to do just with the basic motion properties of an adjustment layer, see if I move this around or rescale it up or down nothing actually applies to this clip beneath it and that's because only effects that are applied to this adjustment layer, are applied to this basketball layer and that's what this transform effect is so if I move the position around see how I do this now this video clip is moved so the first thing I'm going to do is set a keyframe, for scale at the very beginning of this clip this is tellingAlight Motion that at this point we want the scale to be 100% and we create a keyframe by clicking this little time watch right here while you're at it go ahead and create a keyframe for rotation position, as well then up here in the effects controls go to the very end of this clip and then create a new keyframe for each of these properties as well with this button add or remove keyframe so in between here we're going to add some changes to create this effect but we want the beginning, and end of this adjustment layer to be at the normal settings so let's go right here in the middle and we're gonna do sort of like a zoom in zoom out and then rotate in rotate out so let's scale it up to 115 and you'll notice that when I put my timeline indicator right here in the middle and then I type in a new number for scale it adds a keyframe same for rotation let's go to 2 so you can see this starting to work that it zooms in and then out zooms in and out now.

let's just add some position animation, and this is just going to be moving it down moving it around this is just trying to make it feel a little bit more organic so maybe 5 or 6 keyframes in the middle here you might want to play around and that's pretty good so let's play through it nice so you could go in and tweak those to see if you want more or less shake the other thing I did with this original version, was I added a subtle bit of blur to it and that was with the directional blur so type in directional direct and you'll see that the directional blur pops up we're going to apply it to the adjustment, layer again we're going to set keyframes at the beginning and end at 0 and 0 and then go to the end and apply these keyframes as well and then in the middle we're going to create our blur so first I'm going to increase the blur length just so I can see what its gonna look like and then adjust the direction to something like 77 degrees or something and then.

I'm gonna bring back my blur length to 15 again it depends on how dramatic you want to be pretty cool huh neat so now the beauty of this is we can just go to the next spot where the ball bounces, right there and then copy and paste this adjustment layer or simply hold the option key down and drag this clip that's on a Mac on a PC it would be can I believe alt clicking and dragging and we can just duplicate this camera shake over and over boom boom boom cool huh awesome so that's more of that earthquake style.

let's look at the handheld style I'm gonna show you two ways to do it one is basically the same thing with adjustment layer, so I'm actually not gonna walk through this entire sequence of what I did but you can see here that I've added this adjustment layer I've added the transform property and I've added position scale and rotation keyframes, the key is to be subtle so here you can see that there's just the subtle movement it's not like in the earthquake one and it's very very minimal adjustments, to all of these different properties so that's one way you can sort of custom manually do it but there's an easier and more organic way to do it that I got from my buddy Curt Anderson over at Adobe masters so what we are going to need is a stable shot that we want to add motion to which is the street shot.

so I'm just going to duplicate, this over here see how there's no motion at all and then

I'm going to need a shot that has motion so you do need that separate shot I can use this basketball shot and I'm just going to place it above this clip and I'm gonna, just make it the same length as that clip so see how this basketball shot has movement the camera movement already I'm basically going to use the warp stabiliser effect and reverse-engineer, it so it applying the movement that's being removed from this shot to this shot okay I know that's a little confusing but let's just show you how to do it so if we go to our effects type in warp we find warp stabiliser put this on top of the basketball clip and now it's going to analyze it and then we're going to change some settings so we actually want to change the method here from subspace warp to position you can also try position scale, and rotation but I've found that position seems to work best for this handheld motion style for framing.

we're gonna leave that stabilize crop and auto scale and then smoothness this will actually increase or decrease the amount of shake you have so the more smoothness the smoother, your footage is on this clip the shaky er it's going to be on the street clip that I'm adding camera shake to so now if I play through this while there's still movement it tries to do a little bit of stabilizing it doesn't matter if there's a if it's stable or not because what I'm going to do is actually copy this warp stabiliser effect selecting it command C on a Mac that'd be control C on a PC I'm gonna move that basketball clip now notice what happens I play this clip nothing's happening if I select this clip and then paste the warp stabiliser, effect notice how there is now movement so you get this more organic natural movement.

so if that's a little bit too much movement, we can go in here let's drop this down to like something like 10 percent copy this again go to this other clip oops not delete the clip but delete the effect and then paste it so now you see that's a little bit less of hand movement now, this organic movement is going to depend on what clip we are using to add the warp stabilizer to so you can use different Clips to get different kinds of handheld movement but again this is a quick way to create that organic handheld motion without having to go through and manually keyframe it yourself.

well I hope you really enjoyed this too toriel and if you did please like and subscribe to the channel for more if you have any questions or comments, you can leave them below in the comments and if you're looking to take your skills to the next level make sure you head over to video school where we have premium courses, more free tutorials and articles guides and all kinds of stuff that will help you become a better creator thanks so much for watching and have a beautiful day.

In this video we're going to see a very special effect pack for Alight Motion and i'm saying that it is special because we don't see very often other creators like us create effect packs

get ready for the badass fx4 from r2 mode - uh - before we begin with the badass fx4 and how we can use it in final cut pro i want to say that arthur moore is a very talented creator who covers a lot of things final cut pro related and also video editing related you will find links in the description as well down below for the pack and also for the youtube channel of arthur let me take now the glasses off and let's go to final cut pro and c the badass fx4 in action

we are in the final cut pro we have already downloaded the badass fx4 and we have installed them by copying and pasting the titles effects and transition into the specific folders under our movies motion templates now i'm gonna guide you on how we're gonna use these effects with our footages let's go in the first example we select the first example we're walking into the road and we want to create a little bit of haze so we go into the effects panel badass fx4 we drag the badass haze

i'm gonna say a lot of times the word badass so get ready for that and then we go into the inspector panel on the right and we can adjust the brightness of the haze how much haze we want to have the glow as you can see here the effect overall so by default it's on 87 we can take it to 90 we can control the unaffected area so if we want to have an area that it's not going to have the haze effect we can control it by here the effect outside of the area the blend mode and the haze color

                    Overlay Link Here

so if we want we can have the haze red or blue or whichever color we want and simply as that we have placed a very good and nice haze into our footage as we can see on the effects panel for the balance effect we have a lot of different effects that we can use for example we have this badass art that if we drag this here we see two circles and we can drag from here place it to the center and take the other circle as well so we can have it at the center or little bits on the left here you can adjust the different opacity of the colors the colors that we see in the inspector panel on the right and also you can set up how much you want the light as you can see here the reflection of the colors to be and of course you can change the size how much you want the size of this so it's an art effect that you can be creative and make different kind of effects to your videos now if you use the badass artifact with the close-up portrait chat you will get a very interesting and unique effect that

i'm telling you it's something else to tell you and something else to try it yourself with your own footages let's move to the next footage as you can see we can add a border and we can have a dust line one of my favorite effects here is the glass the kaleidoscope and the clouds now take a look on what the glass can do for example if we take the glass 4 a mouse overing and you can see all of the different effects as i'm previewing them let's get the badass glass i'm placing it here and already you can see it's creating this dreamy prism effect the crack the glass prism effect that we can adjust the scale of the glass the opacity and also we can combine this so if i get the badass haze clouds as well here you will see that i'm having some clouds a very dreamy look effects that you can use to a lot of different projects for your videos like music videos or youtube videos documentaries whatever you want to create

i'm using this page of the book to showcase the badass microscope as you can see here by default what it's gonna do it's placing a microscope that you watching on a page you can change the zoom amount you can change the breeze that you're gonna have and check this out also in this effect pack you're gonna find a light reverb and we can showcase this by dragging the effect here and as you can see this is the area that doesn't have the effect so i'm gonna take this out from here you can select the color that you want the light reverb to have the amounts you can change it here also the angle how much you want to be spread the length and also remember here that if you play with the keyframes on the right so let's say we are here and we want to add the keyframe to the angle and as we're moving forward we want to change the angle so it's going to start animating on the angle as well all of the parameters that you see they are customizable and you can place keyframes to change the directions

next i'm going to use the kalitoscope from here you can change where you want the center of this to be here is the other rainbow as you can see i'm gonna scale it a little bit and let's go and adjust the parameters i can change the amount of it the blends how much i want it to spread and the scale the orbit the reflection feather as you can see here the prism and if i start played with that you're gonna see this one of the most

Trending Badass Project File In Alight Motion

October 05, 2022 0

Hy that's going on youtube jake here with venturevisuals and today i couldn't be more stoked to be showing you guys these three easy transitions to recreate in  Alight Motion

so i use each of these transitions i'm about to show you guys in a variety of projects like music videos creative edits weddings commercials you name it these transitions are very practical transitions and look good with most projects

so if you're excited to learn about these transitions hit that like button down below and let's get right into the video so this first transition i'm going to show you guys is just a simple wipe transition here in Alight Motion  as you can see here it's a pretty simple transition so on my timeline here you can see this first clip is him wrapping in the bedroom and then the second clip is kind of him standing in the doorway so the first thing you got to do is come up to your top clip and go ahead and hit the p button on your keyboard just keyframe the position right where it is so this clip is perfectly aligned with this composition now we're going to come all the way to the end of this clip where we want the transition to end

we're just going to go ahead and move this clip to the right and you do want to make sure that this first clip is lined up pretty close with the edge of the composition just like that so now we have two keyframes we have it right where it belongs and then we have it wiping to the right the next thing i like to do is just turn on motion blur for both layers motion blur just adds blurriness to whatever it is that you're moving around the frame it just makes all the motion look a little more natural so the next step is just come to your second keyframe here where this second clip is totally revealed and

we're just going to take this parent pick whip tool and connect it to our top clip now this is going to go ahead and move the second clip with the first clip so you see that happening now we have the first clip moving but as it's moving the second clip is also moving into the frame it's not just moving out of the way and revealing the second clip both of these layers are moving together now to add some extra sauce to this i'm going to right click this first keyframe come down to keyframe assistant and hit easy ease out and i'm going to do the same thing for the second one except i'm going to hit easy ease in and now we should get a really dope wipe transition now you can play around with these keyframes and shorten them up or make them longer depending on how long you want your transition to happen so technically we could make a really short transition like this you know very quick or we could elongate it and make it you know a little longer a little bit more time consuming so there's a slower wipe right there it's a pretty customizable easy transition to make

let's jump into the second transition so the second transition is a mask transition and what a mask transition is is basically you're taking a clip and something is moving across the screen whether that be a light pole a building structure a tree could be anything but you have something that's moving across the frame so for this example you can see here i have this first clip on top that is my two buddies drinking some beers and as we go over to the right we see this light pole that starts to creep in to the frame over here on the left so as that light pull creeps in from the left it reveals the next clip underneath so as you can see it's a combination of camera movement and having something slide across your screen and also creating this mask right here to get this transition effect

now we're just going to recreate this from scratch

so i'm going to go ahead and reset everything quickly here okay so as you can see our top clip is lying above our bottom clip we want to scroll over to where the object starts to move across the frame so as you can see this light pole is really moving across the frame right at this moment so with that clip selected we're just going to go ahead and hit this rectangle tool now you can also use the pen tool to make a mask but for this example we're just going to use this rectangle tool and we're just going to make this rectangle across the entire frame just like that so that's gonna be our first mask point so now with our mask one selected underneath our layer

we're gonna go ahead and hit a keyframe under the mask point like that and

                   XML LINK HERE

now we're just gonna scroll to the very end where the light pole is basically out of the frame we're going to come up here to our selection tool we're going to move these points that we've created for this mask on the left we're going to move them all the way to time up with the lamp so you can see now we have the mask moving with the lamp across the screen now it's not perfect and i can see here it's definitely not connected to the pole as good as it could be so what i normally like to do is spend some time on this masking process where i'm just going to all these ind

In today's video, I'm going to show you how to create a rapid photo shuffle effect. So that way you can start using it in your own videos. And today's video is sponsored by Envato Elements. I'll tell you more about them later on.

For now, let's go ahead and jump on in. So here inside of Alight Motion , I have this folder full of all the photos I want to use. I'm going to open this up by double clicking and I have it set to the icon because that way you can easily see all of the photos. And the reason why I like this is that I can go ahead and move some photos around to rearrange it in the order that I want. And now we need to change the duration of the photo so that way it doesn't default to like 3 seconds each. Select all of them by pressing command or control. A control click and then go down to speed in duration. And instead of 3 seconds since this timeline is 24 frames per second, I'm going to have each photo be a court order of 24 frames per second, which is zero eight press okay. And now if we drag all of these clips into our timeline,

so it goes really fast here. Now, it may not be fast enough. You can certainly change it to zero four to make it even faster. But I like zero eight. And the next thing you need to do is just go through quickly on each photo and make sure it's at the right scale. So you'll select the photo, go up to effect controls, scale it down, and make sure that the image is fully in view. So now when we play it back, it's rapidly going through the photos, but we need to make it more dynamic.

This is where we're going to go into effects. But first, my name is Kelsey and welcome back to Premier Golf. This video is helping you out so far. Sure. To give it a thumbs up as well as subscribe. And if you're looking for some fast photo effects where you don't need to actually go in and animate yourself but use templates, you can use my link below to get seven days free of unlimited templates from import two elements. I just search for fast photo shuffle underneath video templates and over 3000 templates came up. For example, this fast photo slideshow for after effects is really cool because it has a really rapid zoom out effect similar to what we were doing in this video. But if you need a specific software, you can get on here and you can search for after effects Alight Motion  Apple Motion Final Cut Pro or DaVinci. If we wanted something for Premiere, for example, we can select that and just go through and see these different types of photo effects that they have here.

Now we've put a link below to my favorite photo slideshow templates from import elements, so you can go check that out as well. And of course, you can find more than just photo slideshow templates. If you go to video templates in general, you can see that you can browse by broadcast packages, elements, infographics, logos, things they have titles and lower thirds. There's also tons of royalty free background music and sound effects as well, which is super useful, especially when you're editing videos where you just need to go in and find a sound effect to test out. There's unlimited downloads with elements so you can test out as much as you want. And after your seven days free, if you would like to subscribe to elements, you can use my link below to get 70% off your first month. All right, thanks so much to Elements for sponsoring today's video. And let's jump back into the video to go to the effects panel and search for transform. And this is underneath the distort folder double click on Transform. So it's applied to the first photo. So using the transform effect here, I'm going to animate the scale so it starts bigger and gets smaller. So let's start the scale at 150.

             MATERIALS HERE

Let's type in 150 here next to scale. And then what we need to do is adjust the anchor point so we can click on this vertical anchor point and move it down. So that way it's better in frame and then we can click on toggle animation. And then at the very end of this photo, we can then bring it back down to 100 and you'll notice there's a little black line at the bottom. We just need to adjust the anchor point slightly down so that disappears and control. Click on the last keyframe and choose is end. So that way it's a bit more smooth of an animation. So what we can do now is copy this clip command C and then lasso and select all of the other clips and right click or control click and select paste attributes.

And this time we're just going to paste the transform effects.

So the transform effect has now been pasted on all the other photos, and you're going to see that a few of the photos we need to make adjustments on because the transform effect isn't going to fit all the photos because they're all different sizes and image resolutions. Do you see here on this photo we need to make adjustments, so let's select it, go up to effect controls here and we can adjust the anchor point. So it's a little bit lower. Somebody's going to go through quickly and fix the anchor

Quality HD Cc

Introduction:

Everyone wants good-looking visually pleasing videos and one of the first steps to achieve this is by color correcting, your video now in orbital color corrector video you have to understand the color workspace, in Alight Motion and if you're ready for that next step and maybe this is your first time here hi and my name is Lila so lovely to meet you and on this channel I share my best filmmaking tips, and tricks video editing tutorials and basically everything you need to know in order to start creating better videos all of the links are in the description.

Color Correction:

so make sure that you check that out including my color correction vs. color grading video because it is of vital importance and when I say phyto importance I mean vital importance to understand a difference between color correction and color grading if you're ready let's open up the color workspace on the left you see some intimidating complicated graphs but trust me they are not really that complicated and on the right you see different tabs such as basic correction.

first as you can see this circle is this beautiful gradient of all the colors on the spectrum and then there is this white mass or blob or thing I am not sure what it's called to be honest this white mass or a white blob represents the amount of color in the video as well as what colors are in the video if I up the saturation and make the video more colorful make the colors.

Effects:

what happens to the waveform as I adjust the exposure of the contrast and all the others I think exposure and contrast speak for themselves now these four the highlights the shadows and whites and the black they all work together and they affect each other so for example if we change the whites it will also affect the highlights too but only in the waveform the slider won't be affected 100 represents the whites and right here is the highlights the shadows and the blacks in case you have a lot of clipping going on you can raise the blacks a little or you can lower the whites a little bit but as you can see if I've raised the blacks it removes the blacks from the video

Frame:

so I am going to keep it at zero in this case instead I'm going to adjust the shadows a little bit and remove a little bit of the contrast we know that the waveform represents the exposure and all the tone settings of the frame so see what happens if I play through the clip as you can see right here this is gizmos face so it literally represents the frame of your video if at any point you're just like oh my god I just need to start over it it looks like a mess I was too ambitious I was too enthusiastic with it don't worry you don't need to double click on every slider what you can do is just click on the reset button right here and you will reset all of the tone settings now this is the fun part if you go up here to this check mark and you uncheck this box see what happens

Conclusion:

this is where we started I mean I love this so much I could literally check and uncheck the box all day this is so so freakin satisfying, if you liked this video please let me know in the comments and make sure to subscribe and hit that notification bow, in case you want to be notified when more videos come out and if you can't wait for the next video which is totally fine and understandable, because you just want your videos to be so much better click on this video

hey guys Rc here for alight basics a weekly series where i teach you all the ins and outs of adobe premiere pro and today i'm not doing it alone we have a feature today with no one other than storisium now today we are going to teach you eight different transitions that are so simple that you don't even need presets for them so without any further ado let's get started and fire up adobe alight now let's start with a visual transition that depends on your shots when transitioning from one shot to another look for a second shot with visual elements like rocks trees or other objects now place the two shots behind each other then duplicate the second clip and freeze frame the first frame now place that above the end of the first video track then we're going to take our time and properly mask around an object now this can also be a rock a billboard a person whatever if there are multiple objects on screen you can duplicate the layer and mask these objects as well okay once you've masked your object nest the layer and go to the effect panel take the transform effect and drag it onto your nested layer then go to the effect controls panel and deselect the composition shutter checkbox set a custom one of 180. then animate the object so that it pops on screen you can do this by placing keyframes for the position property now don't forget to ease your keyframes once you've made this animation now you can make this longer by dragging the layer more over the first video of course and if you have multiple objects try and play around with different speeds and different directions and as a finishing touch you can always right click on the cut between the two video clips and add a cross dissolve but make it quite short this will give you this result hey jill thanks for having me on your channel it's awesome to be here the next transition is one of my personal favorites and i like to call it the glow transition it's a little similar to the dip to white effect that is built into premiere but also a little different anyway you'll see inside premiere we're going to use these two clips on the timeline for the demo i'm going to start by adding an adjustment layer you can do this in the project panel click on the new icon and then select adjustment layer you can accept the default settings and click ok we can now drag the adjustment layer over to the timeline and place them on top of the two clips of course you can choose any duration for the transition but in this case i'll go for two seconds and i also want the adjustment layer part on the second clip to be a little longer than the part on the first clip

completion and then we need to create two more keyframes with the value 100 and then put these two at the beginning and the end and also here we're going to make it a bit more smoother by right clicking on the first keyframe and then select ease out and then right click on the middle keyframes and select bezier and for the last keyframe we'll select ease in and if i now open up the graph you can see that there's a nice curve this will give more smoothness to the animation in some cases mainly depending on the footage the cut between the clips might still feel a bit rough but you can fix this by adding a simple cross dissolve effect between the two clips this will make it blend a lot better and that is all you need to know to create this awesome drawing transition let's have a look at the final result [] wow that was awesome now guys if you want to see our next four transitions then head over to sterezium's account the video is also linked in our credit scene so go ahead and look at those other transitions if you want to master all of them i'll see you guys next week for a new live stream and a new tutorial and as always stay creative
