                         Simple Transition

In this tutorial i'm going to show you how to make a smooth sliding transition inside, of Alight Motion  my name is Rc and i do weekly Alight Motion and filmmaking tutorials so make sure to subscribe and hit the bell so you don't miss out on future videos.

I got two clips on the timeline and i really want to transition, from this clip right here and into the next clip with it sliding this way so the first thing we need to do is to drag this first clip that we are transitioning, from up to video track number two and then you can select how long you want the transition to be.

so i really want to start around here i think and then i can drag the second clip that we are going to transition, to under the first clip so now we have these two clips stacked together and then i'm going to select the eraser tool by hitting c on my keyboard and i'm going to make a cut right here at the first clip and i'm also going to make a second cut at the second clip .

So now we have sectioned off these two clips right here then we can go and select the first clip that we are transitioning, from and we're going to work inside of effect controls so i'm going to put my playhead at the beginning of the clip and i'm going to make a keyframe so i'm going to make a keyframe for position and i'm going to go forward in the clip and make another keyframe

so i'm just going to drag this to the side and i just want this clip to be slightly off to the side right here just so we don't see it anymore then i'm going to drag this last keyframe, all the way to the end of the clip so now it will look something, like that this looks a little bit weird so we are going to make this other clip slide at the same speed at the first clip so first we need to hide this first clip and we can hide this video track number two by clicking the toggle track output and then it disappears then we can select the second clip

                    XML LINK HERE

we're going to make some keyframes on this clip as well so let's move the playhead to the beginning of the clip and then we're going to toggle a keyframe and we're just going to drag this all the way to the other side so we are slightly off screen then i'm going to move my playhead, to almost the end of the clip again and i'm going to drag this until we have it in the same place that it should be and then i want to drag this last keyframe up there as well i'm also going to add some blur but let's see how it looks so now we just have this simple little slide transition but i'm going to add some blur so the first thing we need to do is to go down here and select new adjustment layer,

when you get this box here you just click ok and inside of the project bin we have this adjustment layer so i'm just going to drag this on top of both of the clips and i'm just going to trim it so it fits on the transition right here and then we're going to search for effect right here called the directional blur and you'll find that in the video effects blur and sharpen folder and you have the directional burr right here so let's drag that on top of our adjustment layer and then i'm going to go to the beginning of the clip right here.

i'm going to set the values in the directional, blur to 90 degrees so that is horizontal and then we can increase the blur and this is something you can decide how much blur or not you want but i think i'm going to go around 30 and if you play this back right now this is how it looks but if this is too slow for you i will show you how you can make this go faster so to make this go faster we can simply, select all of the clips that are in this slide transition section and we can right click and nest it so click the nest button right there and click ok and then we can go over here and use the rate stretch tool or you can just click r on your keyboard and this will allow you to adjust how fast this section of the transition

So let's say i want to make this double as fast i could just drag this and then we can put this first clip on there and make sure we delete this and when we play this back right now we got a faster transition on the screen right now we got another video for you to watch next and if you haven't yet make sure to subscribe, and hit the bell thank you so much for watching create an inspire and i will see you in the next video

Simple Badass Project file Download

today's video i'm going to show you how to create a really cool slideshow animation effect between two photos plus add some sound effects let's get into it so here in my timeline i have these archival photos of bananas that i got from the wikimedia commons and by the way if you're a documentary filmmaker or a journalist and you need access to some really cool archival source photos wikimedia comments has a ton of public domain photos that you can use for free in your videos so for this particular effect

i'm going to add a slight blur and just a very subtle zoom effect between these photos and this effect was inspired by johnny harris's documentaries on his youtube channel and also his recent video on the history of bananas in central america highly recommend it that's why i chose these banana archival photos so the first step is to select the second photo here we're going to start with just adding an animation to the very beginning of the second photo so we're going to go up to effects and search for gaussian blur and drag and drop this or you can double click if you have the photo selected double click to apply it and now over in effect controls you can see we have the gaussian blur now we want the photo to start out blurry

so we're going to increase the blurriness here to 40 and then we want to keyframe so we're going to select the stopwatch the toggle animation to create this first little keyframe here now we want this to be a fairly quick transition it's a very subtle effect so we're going to move around six frames forward so you can play around with different timings but i'll just use my arrow keys to go one two three four five six and i'm going to reduce this to zero so now between these two keyframes we have this very short little blur effect

so now we need to add a subtle scale and animation but we're not going to animate the scale and i'll tell you why in just a second instead you're going to go over to effects and search for transform and this is underneath distort and we're going to double click to apply this to the same photo and here we have transform and here we're going to add some animation to the scale so if you want it to start more zoomed in we can increase this let's say to 125 we need to press the toggle animation and now we can move six frames forward and let's bring this down to 110 and then we can move like two frames forward just to have it zoom out a little bit more let's do 108. and then to make it more smooth we can lasso and select these keyframes and control click and select ease in or you can right click and this one we can ease out

so now when we play it back it looks really cool just a very subtle zoom out with a blur just like that it's very simple but it's effective and when we add sound effects later in the video it's really going to come to life now we can copy and paste these effects that we added so we can press command or control to select both of the effects press command c or control c to copy them then we can go to the next photo that we want to apply this effect to let's say the third one here and we can go up to effect controls move the playhead to the beginning make sure you have this window selected and then command v to paste it and now it's applied to this photo and remember i said i would explain this the reason why we applied the keyframe animation to the scale of the transform effect and not at the regular motion controls is that way if we ever want to make any changes to the scale or the position it won't screw up the keyframes that we had so we can go up here and if we want to zoom out a little bit here

let's see down to like 32 it's not gonna mess up the animation that we did down here and we can always make some adjustments and you can repeat the same process to every photo so now we have this really cool slideshow effect and it's really subtle to do and the next thing we need to do is add some sound effects and by the way my name is kelsey and welcome back to gal if this video is helping you out so far be sure to give it a big thumbs up and subscribe so that way you see when my videos and my tips become available on youtube and this video is sponsored by epidemic sound epidemic sound is my go-to source for sound effects and music and it's unlimited you can download as much as you want and it's social media friendly youtube friendly so you won't have any copyright strikes for using any of the sounds and you can use my link below to get 30 days free so that means you can get 30 days free of unlimited music and sound effects to download and try out in your videos if you're looking for some really cool background music some like lo-fi indie tracks that go well with voice i've put together a playlist if you just go to epidemic and you search premiere gal you'll find my premiere gal editing essentials playlist and it has some great tracks to help you get started so use my link below to get 30 days free and now i'm going to show you how to use some other sound effects to spice up this slideshow effect so between the two slides here

i want to have a projector slide so if you go to epidemic sound you can see that there's music and then there's sound effects of course you can browse by their featured sound effects as well as by category down here but you can also just go to search and from sound effects we can search for projector and it will bring up a bunch of different sounds that we can play and try out so we can try projector screen one projector screen two it's not really what i need let's try this that's a nice slide sound effect and also if you want some ambience behind the slide sound effect for example if a machine is just playing some slides this slide projector 8 is just a nice background noise that you can add to your video so we can go ahead and download these and once they're downloaded you can import them into premiere pro's product panel you can see i've already done that so then we can just drag and drop these effects into the timeline so slideshow projector 14 is the slideshow effect so i can zoom in here and just place this at the cut point i can press option to duplicate that and just repeat that great and then we can take the slideshow projector 8 drag and drop it down there press c and cut at the end and delete that excess play around with the level and let's see how this sounds and look at that just two sound effects and already it's feeling more like a projector screen like a real life one and you can add some music from epidemic if you want to bring it to life so if you're looking for a quick way to do the slideshow effect on multiple different resolutions let's say you want to do portrait vertical stories square 4k and 1080p hd and you don't want to build it all from scratch i've put together a photo slideshow creator template that's on sale on my website and it has four other different types of transitions so if you just don't want the zoom blur transition i also added you know swipe left swipe right up and down and it's really easy to use it's just drag and drop in your own videos or photos and you can use it let me just quickly show you how it works once you download and purchase the pack you will see here that you can import your own footage

                     XML LINK HERE

so i can go in and just take some of my photos here and let's say that you wanted to use the portrait you could go into the slideshows let's say we want the swipe one and see what this looks like if you want to update these to your own photos we can then just go ahead and for example this placeholder you can double click on the first placeholder and drag and drop in your own photos replace this with some dogs here so if you want to add this french bulldog go ahead drag that in go up to effects and scale it into place and then when we go back to the portrait you can see that that photo's been replaced just like that and you'll notice that there's a film crop you can just turn off the visibility if you don't want that and there's a portrait color adjustment layer that you can turn off if you want the original style of the photo and there's some light leaks as well that you'll see that you can turn off as well that i generated and again underneath edit you'll find the same exact sequences for hd 4k portrait square and vertical and there's two different types so there's the classic which is that zoom blur effect and then there's the swipe effect which goes up or down just like that and you can move around so you can take any of these and change it for example you can go down to the swipe transitions and if you want it to swipe left for example you can go down here and this is vertical

so you can go into vertical and you can take you can open this up and you can copy this transition go back to vertical and you know make sure you're on video layer 2 when you paste this you can literally delete that command v to paste that transition and now after you press enter to render it out very quickly you will see it's a swipe left transition so you can you know modify which direction you want the swipes to go and one more thing i wanted to mention let's say you already have a premiere pro project file open and you want to import the template into the premiere pro project what you can do is just drag and drop the file so here i have the download you will see here the alight Motion pro project file just drag and drop it into the project panel and then it will ask you to import the entire project and you can create folder for the imported items and allow for duplicate media press ok and then you'll see all of the same folders here that you can open up and reuse and you can import this project file as many times as you want if you want to create new sequences with new media for example and the sound effects are included so the media that's included in this template is in the public domain

so all of these archival photos of bananas are included in the template so that way you know which placeholders are where and you can just replace those images with your own photos so definitely go check that this slideshow pack and anytime that there's an update you will get that update after you purchase it and you can use it in any type of video so yeah that's it for today's video i really hope that this slideshow effect helps you out it's going to be great for documentary films for weddings for just sharing personal stories too thanks again to epidemic sound for sponsoring today's video don't forget to use my link below to get 30 days free of unlimited music and sound effects thanks so much for watching and as always keep creating better video with gal see you next time bye

200 + Overlay Image Packs Download

July 20, 2022 0

Hi Guy's

hi my name Rc Edits and in this tutorial i'm going to teach you some tips about exporting frames, and even being able to arrange your own youtube thumbnails all in premiere now typically i would suggest that you just do this in Alight Motion or some sort of design program if you don't have Alight Motion, but if you are working kind of in a quick moment in premiere there are little things that you can do that you can just make it in premiere as well just as well so i have a little book club playlist on my channel which is not the traditional type of thing

I do but when i upload the videos sometimes straight from my phone i want to get a good frame i don't want to get a frame where i'm looking stupid so what i thought to do was simply take the video in premiere find the book cover online so i have a couple different options, here and i can kind of arrange them in in premiere as their own graphic layers i can move them to where i need just like this or even scale them up and make them big enough to fill in the whole side.

                  PRESET LINK HERE

if i want and if you want an easy way to just move stuff around just highlight the selection tool make sure you're in the program window and highlight that position parameter in the effects control, panel and you can just move it around kind of very similar to Alight Motion, you can scale it exactly how you like and i can put it there in the corner and then i can kind of just scrub through find a good frame maybe where i'm looking thoughtful, or not stupid looking i can even add text if i wanted like with the type tool i can write out whatever i want and move those around and even in the essential graphics panel adding backgrounds and strokes for these.

Just a simple way to build text and titles if you did want again something that you might not need to go to Alight Motion or if you don't have Alight Motion, another tool for you something like this i do always like to remember that the timestamp right now is in the corner on youtube so maybe not to put too important information there in that corner and you also have all these different video effects, that you can generate so if i wanted to generate a gradient or a ramp i can do that as well on perhaps like a new black video so new black video add that on a layer in between maybe add a ramp and in this way i can add different colored.

Alight Motion or if you want to just check out my tutorials i've made for making thumbnail tips and basics in Alight Motion, i would recommend you do that because 90 of the time i'm making them in Alight Motion but hopefully you enjoyed this little idea and got some tips from it whether that just be the export frame button, or you picked up some other tips as well if you did enjoy this video check out my channel for more subscribe to stay tuned for all my new videos thank you so much for watching and i'll see you in the next one.

5 Transition Preset Pack Download

              Transition Preset Pack Download

i wasn't sure i was gonna make this video i wasn't sure if you guys were ready for it but you know what i said the heck with it let's do it in today's video i'm gonna be showing you guys how to make three essential transitions in  Alight Motion  not only are these transitions essential to know they will make your videos pop they will make your videos slack they will make your videos 10 times better just by using these transitions and you can make them all entirely in adobe Alight Motion

we're not going to use after effects none of that so who's ready if you're ready hit the like button down below and let's get right into it first transition i'm going to be showing you guys how to make is a simple flash transition i actually think that the default additive dissolve transition that Alight Motion  has is absolute garbage so we're actually gonna make this flash transition completely from scratch so let's just check it out so you can see it just hits on the beat it slaps on the beat and it makes the video knock harder

so let's get into how to make this from scratch what you want to do is come down here to your left panel and go to where it says new item hit adjustment layer go ahead and just hit okay it's as easy as that and you're just going to pull that into your timeline right here in order to make this effect you're going to come up here to your effects panel you're going to type in brightness and contrast pretty simple pretty self-explanatory and we're just going to make this flash transition lasts about six frames start here at the very beginning

se

we're just gonna tab over six frames one two three four five six we're just gonna chop this excess off right there we're gonna come to this middle frame right here and we're gonna make two keyframes one on brightness one on contrast so we're just gonna go ahead and bring up the brightness a ton we're gonna change the contrast a ton and we're just gonna get creative with it you know play around with it there's no right answer there's no right way to make these flash transitions this is just one way to do it that i think is super dope you're gonna go three frames to the left one two three this is where the very beginning is and we're just gonna reset these parameters right here so that's just gonna make a new keyframe right here at the beginning and set both of these values back to zero so now when i tab over you can see it gets really bright now we're gonna go all the way to the last frame on the right one two three and we're gonna do the same thing we're just gonna reset so it's gonna get really bright and then it's gonna go right back to normal at the very end take this adjustment layer and place it over two clips just like that so now let's check that out pretty easy very simple love this effect flash transition all the way it will always be one of those effects that i use in every single type of edit i do i think making them from scratch looks way better than additive dissolve let's move on to our next effect

so this next effect is so dope it's just a quick blur effect it's a super subtle way to transition from one clip to the next i really love this effect i think it slaps it makes the beat go crazy so let's check it out so i don't even know if you guys noticed it or not but there is a transition happening in between these two clips right here and you can see right there it just gets blurry and then it goes back to normal so check this out now there's no transition at all right here so it just goes right into the next clip what we want to do to make this transition work is just go three frames to the left from this cut one two three and then you wanna slice that clip like it's some turkey on thanksgiving so we're just gonna make a cut right there and we're gonna go six frames to the right one two three four five six we're gonna make another cut right there and we're just gonna take both of these clips that we just cut and right click them and hit nest nesting will basically bake both of those clips into a little layer so they're their own clip now you basically combine two clips into one basically so pretty cool feature in adobe Alight Motion  and then what you got to do is come up here to your effects tab and just look up this effect called fastboard

we're gonna throw one of them puppies on there and we're just gonna hit this blurriness right in the middle we're gonna keyframe this blurriness but not for horizontal and vertical no no no no that looks really blurry not really cool at all do not do that so we're just gonna pick horizontal or vertical for this i'm gonna go with the horizontal classic and we're just gonna increase the blur amount as much as we want so we can get very blurry as you can see like this but when you pick horizontal you get these kind of streaks across the screen instead of having horizontal and vertical where it's just all blurry that's why i like using horizontal and vertical personally and then what you got to do is go to the very beginning and we're going to go ahead and reset that keyframe we're going to go all the way to the end and hit reset again so now it's going to get not blurry then it gets blurry and then it gets not blurry again so let's check it out in full motion right here let's move on to the last transition which is also probably the most fire transition you can learn how to make there's a lot of ways to make it so let's get into it so for this last example

i'm going to show you guys how to make a quick mask transition in  Alight Motion  masking is essential if you want to be good at editing videos it's something that i use in a lot of projects and there's a lot of ways to go about masking but i'm going to show you guys a creative way to use masking to create a transition in adobe Alight Motion  so check out this mask transition right here very quick very subtle very simple yeah i have my second clip that i'm transitioning to above my first clip that i'm transitioning from so that's step one you gotta have your second clip above your first clip step two is to just start right here at the very beginning and click on your top clip you're going to come up here to opacity and you're going to hit this pen tool right so what you're going to do is on this first frame you're just going to make like a shape or cut out whatever you want to do i like these like jagged cutouts that type of vibe so it looks like that and then what i like to do is decrease the mask feather we don't want that mask feather coming around here from this point you can see our first mask it's pretty dope i love this i love the way it looks a lot of ways to get creative with this so what i'm going to do from here is just keyframe our mask path right there at the first keyframe i'm gonna go ahead and go two frames to the right one two i'm gonna hit another keyframe right here and that's gonna basically just save this mask where it is now

'm gonna go one more frame to the right i'm gonna retrace this mask a little bit so i'm just gonna drag these points out a little bit more now that we're a little bit farther into this transition we're revealing more of that clip underneath just tweaking each point that we've made and we get something like this right so pretty dope and now what we're gonna do is just go two more frames to the right one two we're gonna hit another keyframe on this one so this one saves right now we're just gonna go one more to the right and we're gonna come back up here to our mask and we're just gonna take each of these points and we're gonna keep dragging them out and it's as easy as that guys all you got to do is go frame by frame just drag these points out until you get something that looks dope you might do this a few times before you get a good result now we have that one done we're going to go ahead and finish up now so we're going to come two more to the right one two make our last keyframe there and now we're gonna reveal the entire clip underneath

so now we're gonna go one more to the right and we're gonna highlight our mask and we're just gonna pull all these points to the edges just like that perfect this is excellent great work and boom that's all it takes so now when we kind of hover back over it you can see the transition kind of just popping out at you and when we play that back in real time check out what it looks like thanks so much for watching today's tutorial i'm feeling very excited about these next couple of videos i'm coming out with these effect videos are only going to keep getting better i'm doing a ton of research on how to make better effects and digging deep into some of my old files as well to find old effects that i've used and created

We're going to be spilling that sauce on the internet for the foreseeable future so if you want to be a part of this community and learn and grow with us definitely consider hitting that subscribe button below and if you could only use one of these transitions that i showed you today which one would it be comment down below i'm excited to see some of your guys's responses and if you're a video editor who is serious about making videos and better edits check out my website venturevisuals.com i got a lot of sauce on there you can try out some of my products completely for free so definitely check that out i'll include a link below like i said before i'm excited for these next series of videos so stay tuned and again guys thanks for watching my video i'm jake venner peace out you

Trending Clean HD Glow Cc Tutorial

Clean HD Cc

Introduction:

Everyone wants good-looking visually pleasing videos and one of the first steps to achieve this is by color correcting, your video now in orbital color corrector video you have to understand the color workspace, in Alight Motion and if you're ready for that next step and maybe this is your first time here hi and my name is Lila so lovely to meet you and on this channel I share my best filmmaking tips, and tricks video editing tutorials and basically everything you need to know in order to start creating better videos all of the links are in the description.

Color Correction:

so make sure that you check that out including my color correction vs. color grading video because it is of vital importance and when I say phyto importance I mean vital importance to understand a difference between color correction and color grading if you're ready let's open up the color workspace on the left you see some intimidating complicated graphs but trust me they are not really that complicated and on the right you see different tabs such as basic correction.

first as you can see this circle is this beautiful gradient of all the colors on the spectrum and then there is this white mass or blob or thing I am not sure what it's called to be honest this white mass or a white blob represents the amount of color in the video as well as what colors are in the video if I up the saturation and make the video more colorful make the colors.

Effects:

what happens to the waveform as I adjust the exposure of the contrast and all the others I think exposure and contrast speak for themselves now these four the highlights the shadows and whites and the black they all work together and they affect each other so for example if we change the whites it will also affect the highlights too but only in the waveform the slider won't be affected 100 represents the whites and right here is the highlights the shadows and the blacks in case you have a lot of clipping going on you can raise the blacks a little or you can lower the whites a little bit but as you can see if I've raised the blacks it removes the blacks from the video

Frame:

so I am going to keep it at zero in this case instead I'm going to adjust the shadows a little bit and remove a little bit of the contrast we know that the waveform represents the exposure and all the tone settings of the frame so see what happens if I play through the clip as you can see right here this is gizmos face so it literally represents the frame of your video if at any point you're just like oh my god I just need to start over it it looks like a mess I was too ambitious I was too enthusiastic with it don't worry you don't need to double click on every slider what you can do is just click on the reset button right here and you will reset all of the tone settings now this is the fun part if you go up here to this check mark and you uncheck this box see what happens

Conclusion:

this is where we started I mean I love this so much I could literally check and uncheck the box all day this is so so freakin satisfying, if you liked this video please let me know in the comments and make sure to subscribe and hit that notification bow, in case you want to be notified when more videos come out and if you can't wait for the next video which is totally fine and understandable, because you just want your videos to be so much better click on this video

Ae Inspired Badass Project File Download

July 11, 2022 0

hey guys Rc here for alight basics a weekly series where i teach you all the ins and outs of adobe premiere pro and today i'm not doing it alone we have a feature today with no one other than storisium now today we are going to teach you eight different transitions that are so simple that you don't even need presets for them so without any further ado let's get started and fire up adobe alight now let's start with a visual transition that depends on your shots when transitioning from one shot to another look for a second shot with visual elements like rocks trees or other objects now place the two shots behind each other then duplicate the second clip and freeze frame the first frame now place that above the end of the first video track then we're going to take our time and properly mask around an object now this can also be a rock a billboard a person whatever if there are multiple objects on screen you can duplicate the layer and mask these objects as well okay once you've masked your object nest the layer and go to the effect panel take the transform effect and drag it onto your nested layer then go to the effect controls panel and deselect the composition shutter checkbox set a custom one of 180. then animate the object so that it pops on screen you can do this by placing keyframes for the position property now don't forget to ease your keyframes once you've made this animation now you can make this longer by dragging the layer more over the first video of course and if you have multiple objects try and play around with different speeds and different directions and as a finishing touch you can always right click on the cut between the two video clips and add a cross dissolve but make it quite short this will give you this result hey jill thanks for having me on your channel it's awesome to be here the next transition is one of my personal favorites and i like to call it the glow transition it's a little similar to the dip to white effect that is built into premiere but also a little different anyway you'll see inside premiere we're going to use these two clips on the timeline for the demo i'm going to start by adding an adjustment layer you can do this in the project panel click on the new icon and then select adjustment layer you can accept the default settings and click ok we can now drag the adjustment layer over to the timeline and place them on top of the two clips of course you can choose any duration for the transition but in this case i'll go for two seconds and i also want the adjustment layer part on the second clip to be a little longer than the part on the first clip

completion and then we need to create two more keyframes with the value 100 and then put these two at the beginning and the end and also here we're going to make it a bit more smoother by right clicking on the first keyframe and then select ease out and then right click on the middle keyframes and select bezier and for the last keyframe we'll select ease in and if i now open up the graph you can see that there's a nice curve this will give more smoothness to the animation in some cases mainly depending on the footage the cut between the clips might still feel a bit rough but you can fix this by adding a simple cross dissolve effect between the two clips this will make it blend a lot better and that is all you need to know to create this awesome drawing transition let's have a look at the final result [] wow that was awesome now guys if you want to see our next four transitions then head over to sterezium's account the video is also linked in our credit scene so go ahead and look at those other transitions if you want to master all of them i'll see you guys next week for a new live stream and a new tutorial and as always stay creative
